You can experience beaches one day, mountain high country and snow adventures the next. Discover the region's historical villages...fossick for gold...fish for trout in cool mountain streams, enjoy our diversity in arts with theatre, galleries and festivals abundant. Compete in your favourite sport - golf, bowls, sailing, cricket, football, tennis, or take a relaxing stroll through our magnificent gardens and parks.

The adventure seeker can experience horse trail rides, rugged four-wheel drive expeditions, go-carts or the exhilarating thrill of skydiving. Take a trip back in time to Old Gippstown at Moe or the Walhalla historic township. Ride the Walhalla Goldfields Railway through the rugged Stringers Creek gorge and over lofty bridges. Visit the Long Tunnel Extended Mine and explore some of the area's hidden golden past. Have your photo taken on the famous Tarra Bulga National Park swing bridge immersed among majestic tree fern gullies that are cool and green even on the warmest summer day.
