Aerial skydives restricts the weight of our Tandem Students to 100kg.

Weather

Sometimes the weather can interfere with our operations. There are some conditions that we would deem unsafe to operate in, so Aerial Skydives reserves the right to reschedule due to weather. www.bom.gov.au

What to Wear

Wear comfortable clothes & suitable footwear such as runners or sandshoes. We will provide you with specialist clothing ie. skydive suit, goggles, gloves & hat to wear over your own clothes. www.airsuits.com

Family and Friends

As it is often family and friends who purchase a gift certificate [ PACKAGES ] we can certainly cater for their comfort and enjoyment as well. Aerial Skydives operates from the Latrobe Regional Airport Terminal Building which is an air-conditioned, carpeted facility with disable access. Family & friends can watch the proceedings from inside the glass fronted building or are able to see the landing from a great vantage point outside.

The Latrobe Valley Aero Club www.latrobevalleyaeroclub.com.au adjacent has its famous Saturday BBQ where a sausage in bread never tasted better. Other snacks and drinks can be purchased as required or pack the picnic hamper and enjoy not only the skydiving but the other aerial activities that the Latrobe Regional Airport is renowned for such as AV8 www.flyav8.com, Latrobe Valley Gliding Club www.gfa.org.au and Pioneer Aviation.

On Arrival

At Aerial Skydives you are given the opportunity to view other Tandems on video prior to your briefing or your arrival may coincide with a previous students landing. This gives you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the skydive and ask any questions. After completing the appropriate paper work and prior to getting ready for the skydive, you are briefed in all aspects of the skydive from aircraft procedures, freefall body position to what you can expect for the landing.

The Flight to Height

Aerial Skydives is situated in the heart of Gippsland, www.gippsland.com and one of the unique and great things about skydiving is that in order get out of an aircraft you have to climb to height first; this means a leisurely flight of approximately 15 minutes will see you fly to 10,000 feet above the Latrobe Valley www.latrobe.vic.gov.au and www.visitlatrobevalley.com

A chance to sit back and take in the great views of Wilson's Prom - www.promcountry.com.au to the south and Ninety Mile Beach to the east - www.lakes-entrance.com or Mt Baw Baw - www.mountbawbaw.com.au & the great dividing range to the North. Given it's the Latrobe Valley, the quite spectacular open cut mines never cease to amaze - www.powerworks.com.au

Back to Earth

With a grin as wide as the great Australian Bite the first reaction we often get when someone lands is "Can I go again". This can certainly be arranged and we offer a variety of options for those who return with a friend or family member. [ PACKAGES ]

Video Photography

Aerial Skydives offers two types of video photography which can be booked in advance or is subject to availability on the day. [ PHOTOS ]

"Outside Camera" as we call it means that another specialist skydiver actually skydives with you and flies close by to video your freefall while taking a set of stills photography. These photographs are developed and sent to you assuring you of the utmost quality.

"Hand Cam" photography is when the Tandem Master wears the camera on his hand capturing all aspects of the ride to height, the freefall canopy flight and landing.
